The Green Garden farm aims to improve the standard of vegetable farming in the Philippines and play a demonstration role by introducing vegetable plantation technologies and fostering its uptake in the Philippines.
Agricultural production and trade:
At present, there is a 11 hectares-farm in the Philippines, and a production base with complete supporting facilities such as staff dormitories, offices, warehouses, production workshops, transportation vehicles. The production system of vegetables, flowers, seeds and poultry has been built. It has also established a sales system with nearly 20 supermarkets, 3 canteens and 2 logistics centers, with several grocery stores and suppliers. There are 100 Philippine employees and 4 Chinese employees in the management team.
It carries out cooperation with research institutes on new variety selection and technical demonstration. It is the overseas vegetable demonstration base for Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, which has provided technical support from seed selection, seedling, field maintenance, to storage etc.
Green Garden Farm has conducted trainings on vegetable plantation to its employees, local farmers and students from local agricultural universities. These comprehensive trainings have improved the plantation skills and income of local farmers.
It is currently recognized as a Philippines-China (Guangxi) cooperation demonstration zone and the overseas base of the Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
During June 2021, the farm organized 4 workshops on farming techniques and benefited 100 local farmers.
In the future, the phase two project will be carried out, which will strengthen the farm and its demonstration role, and benefit more local workers and poor people.
